Prevention and control of pests and diseases in citrus.

In autumn, citrus fruit can suffer important affections caused by different pests and diseases. Products such as MAXIMO®, TILOSAN®, YODA® or LOBEZNO® can avoid crop losses caused by fruit watering, poor fruits, whiteflies, etc.

For the prevention of vascular and wood diseases (Verticillium spp., Phoma spp, cankers, etc.), root rot (A. mellea, R. necatrix, Phytopthora spp.), viruses and bacterial diseases (Xylella fastidiosa, Candidatus liberibacter, etc.), Blue Heron recommends the use of TILOSAN® in 2-3 passes per year since TILOSAN® acts as a vascular system unblocker and activates the tree’s defenses.

To prevent fruit watering (Phytophthora spp.), the combination of MAXIMO® and YODA® applied at the beginning of the rainy season helps to reduce the incidence of this disease. MAXIMO® is a potent defense inducer with regenerative effect, and YODA® acts as an adjuvant to enhance the effect of other products such as MAXIMO®.

In the case of whitefly attacks (Aleurothrixus floccosus, Paraleyrodes minei), cotonet (Planococcus citri, Delottococcus aberiae), mealybugs, etc., the application of LOBEZNO® at the beginning of the attack controls the populations thanks to its anti-appetite and repellent effect.
